I noticed on the safe food list, some foods have a diamond after them and some don't. Why?

I clean my sand by putting it in the oven at 350 F. for a half hour, then letting it cool and adding it back to the tank.

I keep the temperature at 74F. I think crabs usually like warmer temperatures, around 75-85 or higher (on the warmer end during the day, on the cooler end at night if possible, but tempurature fluctuations are not necessary). For your tanks, you're probably at or close to the limit already. A good rule is about 5 gallons per crab, so unless you upgrade to a bigger tank, I wouldn’t add more.
