Well..... any news yet? I'm still waiting to exhale. :| Well, this guy is still alive. I can't see his mouth parts moving like they should though, and that worries me. I guess I can try to feed him some baby food. What really bothers me, is that he was not able to eat his exo. I didn't see him eat ...

What a nightmare! I'm pulling for little Miracle! I wouldn't have believed they could steal shells underground, until I found my little Lefty naked with the culprits old shell right next to her! Incredible :x. Thanks :) Yep, that is right, they can steal the shells from under ground!! That is exact...

How is the crab doing now? That was something else what you did. I still can not pick up a naked crab. I am working on it . You are so good to him hope all is well now. Well, he is still alive..... And I had put him in a shell, he has accepted it, b/c he tries to draw back in it when I check on him...

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d14/dirtgirl62/Crabs/100_3261-1.jpg That's my boy. It's been a few months and I still miss his presence in my tank. That's distressing to know. I was actually pleased that he molted so frequently, took it as a sign of great health and conditions. Feel kinda like a ...

Well last night I found a shell that looked exactly like the one this guy had on before it was stolen. It's a green turbo, looks like the kind you always see Straws in. I looked into his ISO, and he had already righted himself up!!! I was getting excited. So, I didn't want to pick him up, but I want...

What an amazing story!! I am beginning to go through something very similar right now :( As in my latest post. I basically had to molt the crab myself. He is all moving around, and has quite the will to live. I hope he makes it....please keep us updated. Kathy, I am sorry to hear about your loss :(

I was the 'midwife molter' for my PP

Ok. So, let me tell you all what I had to do this past Sunday night. I had a large PP that had obvious molting signs. And he had disappeared one day, and I figured he went down. Well, I seen his 'shell' on the back of another crab about a week later! I was like, I know that isn't you..... So, while ...

I had heard bubbles meant that the crab was over heating. Either way, he seems to be doing better now. I just hope he doesn't go through that again. It hurts me to see them suffer.

Thanks for all the support!!!

Thanks for all of your replies! I seen this little guy last night hanging out on the coconut. He didn't like the idea of me looking at him, so he scurried off!! He seemed very alive and alert, so now I am going to hope for the best! He is about the size of a ping pong ball :) Hoping he makes it! Tha...

I usually heard that when crabs have that "smell" then are usually on the verge of passing away. I really hope this isnt the case. Sending good vibes to your hermie!!!! :) I know, which is why I am pretty worried I may find the little guy dead when I get home. I hope he somehow pulls through. It se...

Crab bubbling at mouth area?

I hope to get some ideas from you all on this. I bought some new PP's from Petco about 2 weekends ago. They were generally active, and even changed shells when they came home. I have seen them eat, and drink, and be merry :P This morning though, I seen one of them up on top of the drift wood. He was...
