TIP!
Let the Tank Run (Cycle) for at least 2weeks before adding Corals.
Do get some Live rock and some Live Sand.
This will help your Tank cycle.
I really enjoyed my Nano.

Salt water tanks can be more challenging to set up than a standard fresh water (though there are some high tech fresh water tanks out there that are incredibly advanced - it all depends on what you want to do) but after that they are not too bad to maintain. I find my little 14 gallon reef tank is ...

When I was running a Marine tank...I was advised the salinity should be near (At) 1.024. I cant remember the name of the instrument used to measure salinity. As for the other items mentioned...I am lost, I have no idea what they are. I am glad to hear that the inhabitants are still alive and seem to...

Sounds Like the Hermie Passed. :( When I had my Marine tank up and running, I would sometimes find a dead hermie. Not to sound gross, But, I left the carcass in the Tank for the fish and other hermits to eat. As for Molting, I am fairly certain that they do not dig down. Instead I believe they curl ...

Signs of death?? Maybe Not! Please Read.
I recently received a Private message and I have to agree. Never assume a Hermit Crab is dead until absolutely positive. Sometimes a Molting crab will go limp and will not show absolute signs of life. I copied and am pasting 2 key points. 1: It is normal for crabs preparing to molt to go limp and ap...

Found 1 of the links I had. (Quite a few Mozzilla Updates and upgrades) http://www.saltwaterfish.com/ Just found this link...I have seen this one and I am very impressed by the way they describe the livestock. They tell ya upfront if the "Fish" is very delicate and will not guarantee the "Arrive ali...

Most if not all Marine Hermies use "Snail" shells. If I can find the link to a "Marine" Livestock/Supply store that I have come across on-line I will add the Link here. Sadly, I think the Marine Hermits U got passed on because they require a Salt water Aquarium. Some Marine Hermits can be quite stri...

Thank You folks for voicing concern. I am doing well. The Holidays and a PTSD anniversary..well I do tend to drift off sometimes. Sometimes life happens and I can't get on the HCA when I want to. But, I do tend to drift sometimes. It just happens :( But, when I am here, I am very glad to do my best ...
