That's a really neat idea for science fair. How exactly are you making the presentation? Mine had to something to "test", so I don't exactly think that would have worked for me...

I personally haven't fed raw meat (like chicken, pork or beef), but have fed raw fish, snow crab, and lobster, since that's what would happen in the wild. I don't think that wild crabbies have too many camping stoves. :P As for chicken, pork, and beef, I've fed chicken cooked... sometimes, they migh...

It would take a while to translate, but it might be easier if you're interested to go to: babelfish.altavista.com , then paste the website address in the box under "translate a webpage". Select the language, then search. It's not perfect, but still readable! :)

Wow! Interesting shell choices. :o Never knew any crab would ever try on any of those shells.

I have a Trochus sp. (second one in list with three crabs). Not sure where I got it, but I know that no one bothered even to look at it. Now I see that if I had a baby straw, they would like it! :)

I use a night-glo at night, and sun-glo during the day, with an UTH. The UTH keeps the ground warm, while the light keeps my second levels warm. :)

In some of my original carbitats, Spirit, who can sometimes be a bit shy, would bury herself for no reason for about a month. Recently, I bought more plants. It helped a lot! :)

Yeah, but just the food and special feeders alone cost like 30 US :| (I'm in Canada) and I also need a water heater and 20 gallon tall. I don't want to buy one, as I have nowhere to store it after. I need to rent one, or borrow one. And it isn't just money, but also time. 2 water changes+ per week. ...

Well, Mac, I've had Fidds for half a year now, and this is the second time they've mated. But I've had Hermits for about a year and a month, and they have never mated (don't know if they even would  ). I think that it's very rare and hard for hermits to breed in captivity. :| And even harder t...
