Congrats on your new crabs! :D Welcome to HCA! :D How big is your cage now? :? You should have a tank according to the size of your crabs (click link to see size of your hermies:)(http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com/pages/sizing.htm), and any newcomers planned to come. Hermies love friends! :D They...

Not in my case!!!!!!!!!!!! :P I'm just right at 13, and have had crabs for about half a year now. My parents know only about crabs what I have told them (quite a lot, actually, but not sure how much they took in  ). I am even more into crabs now then at the beginning, when a science experiment ...

Lyn, Congrats on your new crabs! :D You seem to be doing a fine job for a beginner. As for the humidity gauge, I would just make sure that it is from a reliable store, and if it was very cheap, like 1-2 dollars, then it might not be of good quality. But from all of my experiences, and many ot...

fogger

I think that this one was made for reptiles, like the basking-in-the-sun ones (lizards, snakes, etc...). It did not say that it was for frogs, though, but I guess frogs would like it.

Hermit crab food

I have had several crab deaths, and I firmly believe that it is from the bad chemicals in the crab food. I had HBH Hermit Crab Variety Bites, but I have stopped using it, since it has almost all of the bad preservatives in it.

New shells

I am a little confused as to where to buy new shells, so I just wondered if anyone had an idea as to where to get them. I live in Montreal, Quebec, and go to a store with good hermit crab things, except for shells. They have very few sizes, and most are painted shells. :x Where should I get shells? ...
