Re: Help the HCA! - We Need Species ID Photos!

Once you've figured out what you still need, I'd be glad to submit some pictures. :D I've had many species over the past few years and I have pretty good close-up shots. :)

Re: Livehermitcrabs

I was thinking the next time someone in the Pittsburgh area wanted to order from LHC, let me know and we could do one big order to split the high shipping cost! :) If there are multiple people interested that would be even better. :D We could meet at a pet store and make a mini-convention out of it.

Territorial displays and dominance are very common in the crabitat, and in the wild! They have a sort of hierarchy system. :)

Re: Safe Food List from EH

The safe list comes from anothe website (Epicurean Hermit), so I'm not sure how frequently they update it. :dontknow: But yes, there are definitely a lot of foods that are safe that are not on the list! I tend to just stay away from the unsafe list. :)

Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing

How come you boiled the mussel? Is that something that should be done for all seafood, or is it personal (or crab) preference? I got some fresh shrimp (with shells and tails on) today and put one in raw for them to eat. It's more of a personal preference. :) I do feed them raw meats here and there,...
