Hygrometer/thermometer

Post by Gla » Fri Jul 19, 2013 10:33 am

I am a new hermit crab owner. I purchased an "all living things" hygrometer/thermometer for my 10 gallon tank. With everything that I've read online, I am concerned that it may not be giving accurate readings. I would like to buy a secondary unit to ensure that temperature and humidity levels are where they need to be. Can someone please share with me what the best models are? There are so many in the market. It's very confusing. There is so much to learn about hermit crabs that I'm a bit overwhelmed. Thank you.

This is the one I have and I love it! I think it's much more accurate than the analog type: http://www.amazon.com/Zilla-11...&keywords=hygrometer

I use the dual gauges made by Zoo-med they are accurate for analog but the digital gauges are much more precise with their measurements. You shouldn't have much of a problem with the gauge you have as long as you don't spray it directly and keep it away from your heat sources as mounting directly on or below the heat source your using will give an inaccurate reading.
