Got the Habba Mist...
I got my order yesterday, I got a 100 watt ceramic heat element to replace the 60 watt for the winter (75 gallon crabitat), and a Habba Mist to keep the humidity up. I'm really happy with it so far, the temp is staying around 80 degrees, and the humidity is also around 78%-80%. I was trying to get it to be about 83%-85%, but it seems the increased lamp wattage is drying things more than I anticipated. I have the mister set to deliver a 45 second spray every hour, I thought that would be too much, but I guess not. I like the Habba Mist because it doesn't make any noise except when it's spraying (that's why I didn't get the Tropic Aire; I don't like the noise of an air pump), and it's easy to refill. The hermies are happy crabs, they're more active than they've been in a long time, climbing all over everything. They've figured out where the sprayer is directed, and they'll sit in that location and wait for the mister to come on. Then they sit in the spray and wiggle their antennae. So, I'm a satisfied customer right now, hopefully no unexpected problems will pop up.

It sounds great. You'll have to keep us updated on how well it does for you. Sure sounds like your hermies are enjoying it! It also sounds like it could be a helpful tool for short vacations. Can it be left on when no one is home for a few days?

Got the Habba Mist...
With the setting I have it on, it runs out of water (28 oz capacity) about every 24-30 hours, so it wouldn't work if I went away for too long. But it can be left on all the time, it's only actually "running" when it's actively spraying (once every 1,3,6,or 12 hours, for 15,30,45,or 60 seconds, depending what you have it set on).

Got the Habba Mist...
I only fill mine about once every week. It is set to go off every 6 hours for normally 30 seconds. I have the tank thing on the outside of the tank and just ran the hose to the inside. I have a 125 Gallon tank the mister is at one end and I use the large undertank heater at the other end and an overhead light that is on a timer so it is on a total of about 6 hours. Do you have the misters tank inside the auarium? maybe the high voltage lights are evaporating some of it. Try moving it as far away from the lights as possible maybe that will help as far as the amount of water it is using.....My guys now know exactly how often it goes off and they will go down to that end like clockwork, it's fun to watch.

That sounds really cool. IS there anything like that for a 10gal tank?

I have it on the outside of the tank, so it's not that. It's just that I have it set to go off every hour for 30 seconds. I figure that's why it empties so fast. I think I'll be able to set it to go off less often after a while, I let the substrate dry out maybe just a little too much, and now it's getting to a nice moisture level. I keep the heat lamp on 24 hours a day and although I have a UTH on the tank, I don't want to use it because I've had a few deaths due to hermies burying over it. My humidity was a lot higher when I was using the UTH, I think heating the substrate releases the moisture into the air. The crabs love the new heat lamp, a few of them sit right under it where it's the hottest. I thought they would overheat, so I moved them away a few times, they always go right back and look a little annoyed with me. I guess they know how hot they want to be. CrabbyPatty24--you could probably use this product for a 10 gallon, you would have to put it outside the tank; it's too big to be inside. You would also have to experiment a little with the settings to get the moisture level just right, but if you had it at the minimum, I think it would be fine. But for a 10g tank, I would just get an air pump and put an air stone in the water dish.
