I grow java moss in fish tank and I have plenty left over when is trim them down. Is java moss safe to put in the crab tank for humidity and to snack on?

I can't find anything specifically on Java moss, but generally if it's safe for fish it's usually OK for crabs (not guaranteed but usually). So if you're growing it in your fish tank, might be worth a try.

I've been using it in my tank for about 6 months now. Like you said, I hated to throw it away every time I thin out one of my fish tanks. Not sure if anyone is eating it, but I haven't had any problems - lots of successful molts.

That's great. If it turns out you're both having success with it and no negative impact maybe we'll add it to the safe list at a later date.

So far it has worked great. I haven't observed any eating it yet as I was away on vacation but it really helps with humidity.
