HARTFORD, CT

I am a school teacher in Hartford, CT and was recently gifted a full tank with complete setup. My little kindergarteners would love to spend the rest of the year learning and exploring with some hermit crabs! I have no experience, but love learning. I read that rescue was the only way to go. I hope someone is looking to rehome some crabs for our classroom!

WORCESTER COUNTY, MA

I live in Worcester county massachusetts and am looking to adopt 2 crabs. Have tank all set up, temp and humidity holding in the 70s each for a month now, have read just about everything there is to read, I’m ready! I have never had a land hermit crab but I had a salt water hermie, Sebastian, for around 10 years, he molted numerous times (on the surface, tho never actually saw him do it) and I have all the prior and prospective shells available. I have a 30 gal tank so 2 crabs is the max, I have it set up with a suspended natural rope netting over the surface to double the play/climbing options. I recently lost my Amazon parrot soul mate of 40 years so I can commit to my critter buddies. Also have fish, 3 rescue cats and 1 rescue parakeet. We would drive an hour easily to pick up the crabs. Thanks!

BOSTON, MA

Hi there, :)
I’m not a crab owner myself, but one of my little sisters was charged with her class crab over summer break. The thing is, there used to be three of them; however, two recently passed away (of natural causes - they were old) leaving the last one alone. From what I’ve read, hermit crabs are social and should be kept in groups of 2+ so I was wondering if anyone local was looking to offload at least one so that my sister’s class crab isn’t lonely anymore.
Thanks!

BURLINGTON, VT

I am located in Burlington, Vermont and would be willing to travel around 1.5 or 2 hours in any direction. I am new to hermit crab care, but have done lots of research and am currently working on assembling the perfect set-up in my 30 gallon tank. I am looking to adopt 2-3 hermit crabs, and will be ready to offer them a new home in mid February. Thank you!

BOSTON, MA

Hello! I'm looking for two PP's. I have a lonely large PP in a 20 gallon long currently and he wants to make some new friends! I can drive to towns near Boston. If any people are interested, please reply to this post and I will give you a way to get in contact. Also, my hermie's name is Snoopy and he is SO spoiled. He gets this whole pretty tank all to himself LOL. and his own gourmet dinners  Thank you for your consideration :)
