Jumbo shells?

Post by Sensi » Tue Jun 28, 2016 9:31 pm

Hello. I have an adopted...what I consider a jumbo. The shell he is in measures about 1 1/2 inches opening. He has way out grown it. I'm looking at shells though and good Lord! If I can't find something cheaper I may have to adopt him to someone else.

Mygann on Ebay, Amazon or Etsy. Richard's Shells. Local craft stores, Hermit Crab Patch, or Naples shells.
They don't have to be super fancy or polished for the crab to wear them, either. Round openings are going to work better for PP's than oval.

Walmart has bags of big shells for about $10. Definitely worth the money!

Thanks. Will check the out. I don't care if they're pretty as long as they aren't $20+ each!

Big Lots has bags of "landscaping shells" for $12. The bag is very large. We were there yesterday and many of the shells were murex, so usable.
