Re: Straws?
I got my 3 back in August from elite inverts .com and paid 40 for overnight shipping. Order on Mon, Tues, or Wed so they don't get stuck over weekend. I personally would wait til warmer months to have them shipped since they require much warmer temps than other species.... Say May through September

Re: Straws?
Its now winter in the US. Temperature swings are common, especially in the northern areas. Its probably best not to order any live animal during this time, just in case they are stuck or lost in transit.

Straws aren't easy to keep, where they have a low survival record. IMO, they are not suitable for anyone that isn't experienced at keeping crabs.

Re: Straws?
Agreed, IMO I think you should have kept crabs for about 3-5 years before trying strawberries.aussieJJDude wrote: Straws aren't easy to keep, where they have a low survival record. IMO, they are not suitable for anyone that isn't experienced at keeping crabs.

Re: Straws?
Time frames IMO don't determine experience - however experience often takes time! Its one of those things you will know when your ready, and I would advise keeping E's - or if possible, another exotic - before one ventures into the world of straws.PinchersAndShells wrote:Agreed, IMO I think you should have kept crabs for about 3-5 years before trying strawberries.aussieJJDude wrote: Straws aren't easy to keep, where they have a low survival record. Re: Straws?
I just posted this in another section earlier today. yourfishstore.com ships. They are located in va. I ordered two straws from them back in November before it got cold. They are like $30 each and free shipping if your order is over $100.00 I think. They arrived fast and looking good and are still doing good. They also gave me a 3rd one for free! I will say though that they don't respond to messages very well. But yeah like others said wait till spring please.

Also don't buy shells from them. They are nothing but beach store shells.
