Dollaramma (Toronto)
Dollaramma now sells seashells by type as opposed to a mix! &$4 for a 1L container. Some of holes.
UPDATE: unusable shells.

Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll have to check the dollaramas in Ottawa/Hull.

FYI, hermits won't use either type pictured.

It looks like the 3 containers on the right have round holed shells. Why wouldn't hermits use them?

Hermits won't take delphinium shells. They're too skinny and have an odd swirl to them. In ten years of being here, I've seen two crabs wear them for a very short period of time.Hermiesguardian wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 10:30 amIt looks like the 3 containers on the right have round holed shells. I’ve also offered both of those shells and have never had any luck with either of them.

Re: Dollaramma (Toronto)
The left ones are a type of murex, but a funny one. They have that spike that is longer than the base shell, and the shell itself is shaped like a big bubble rather than a tunnel. I've had tiny crabs try them and immediately ditch them. They're too hard to hang onto and maneuver.Scarletfire wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 5:26 amOh darn. I thought the left was murex. Welp.
