The Indo I was worried about changed shells, so I think it's going to be ok. Checked out the shell, no mites, dead or alive. I'm loving the little Brevies. Mine are so little, but their pretty purple claws are as big as one of my medium PPs. They look like a caricature. I think only one of the violas came in with Mites. Luckily I haven't seen any living. I'm going to kep up the baths to make sure and leave them in iso an extra week. All buried under today but the one Indo I was concerned with.

They look great! What makes the big guy the armored variety? I thought they looked a lot thicker through the exo. Beautiful crabby! I can't wait til mine get that big!

Yup. Thicker exo and the white dots on the BP. They also like thicker shells on the small side, just enough to cover their abdomen.Think gold mouth turbo shells and magpies. It's a good thing because even though he's a jumbo, you don't have to get jumbo shells :D

So you ordered 3 Blue's and got 5 crabs, instead? That's interesting. Hmm... well I am glad you got your new babies. I love peek-a-boo! We saw one like that the other day and it made my daughter and I giggle!

Nice crabbies! Love the box pictures. lol I could feel the suspense and the enjoyment from here! The jumbo went into a smaller shell?

I'm thinking about ordering a few E's from them because the local pet store can't get them. I think it'd be great to have some silly E antics again. Are their E's in good health when you get them? (I know they take forever to send them out but that's ok I'm in no hurry)

Because the blues were unavailable, she offered to sub with an extra free crab. So I got one free for the delay, and one for the substitution. Im still a little disappointed, but I was able to get two species, viola and Indo, instead of just blues, so I think it was a fair enough trade.
All but one Indo is buried under now, so my iso looks pretty lonely. I'm worried about not being able to give them proper mite control because they all disappeared on me. Luckily, i only saw a few dead mites on one of the violas. I'm just worried about eggs. I also don't want to order the h mites if they might be down molting. I'm pretty sure they are destressing. I'll keep up the daily baths on my lone Indo until they come up or 5 days go by mite free. Or unless he goes under too!

I know Kuza comes from experience when he says that, so thanks for the heads up Kuza.
My plan for the mite situation when I get them next week is a bare 20L with less than an inch of sub. Hides that are washable and 2 water bowls of-course.
I'll give one initial bath and order predatory mites. Kuza, if you see this, how much will I need for a 20L and 8 crabs?
1/2 liter or a liter? Oh, and how long from your experience should I leave them in ISO with the predatory mites?

On second thought about my previous question, I think I wont order any...I don't want mites to deal with, why do they send them like that? I've seen lots of posts about their crabs coming to their new owners that way... :?
