Re: What is the best food to buy online?
I have two small PPs. One of them is leaning towards the medium size, but not quite there. I try to change their food everyday, but sometimes it will be every other day. So the longest time the food has been in there is two days. Most of the food is very fine and grounded up well. Do bigger crabs ever prefer bigger pieces of food? And also I know that they don't eat a lot, but it is noticeable when they do eat from a certain shell with food in it. It will usually be spread out and out of the shell, on the substrate, if they eat it. They just don't seem to really touch any of this food I bought for them. The only one that they will eat from is the Meat Lovers one, but they don't eat much of it. They will usually eat the fresh food, and the grounded up mix I made for them, that contains freeze dried meal worms, crickets, river shrimp, cuttle bone, and egg shells. They just don't really like this food from Etsy.

Re: What is the best food to buy online?
This is a very old post, but I just wanted to update my information. This review on TheHappyHermitSupply shop on Etsy was a little harsh. The shop owner has contacted me since they now just saw this review. The late shipment thing was something that I confused myself. But the owner has apologized for the bad experience, but it wasn't really much of a bad experience. My crabs just didn't seem to eat as much as I thought they would, but their shop has been updated with more selection, and I'll definitely give it another shot. And the shipping was something I mixed up. So I do recommend trying out this shop if you're looking for some different food for your hermies.parker_roo wrote:Hey, sorry it has been forever since I replied to this topic. But any way, I did buy the sample of each diet from TheHappyHermitSupply, on Etsy. I have been feeding my crabs this food for about a month now, and they don't touch it! For some reason, they won't eat it. I change up the variety every day, and if they do eat any of it, it is not much. I don't know if they just like the fresh fruit/veggies that I give them more than the food from Etsy. But I have continued to feed them this food (from Etsy), because there is a good amount of it, and I need to use it. Has anyone else had your crabs dislike the homemade food that you have bought online? They just eat the food I make for them. Maybe they just like the fresh stuff. But I'm sure this seller has great food for crabs, my crabs just don't like it.

Mine would only eat diets 1 and 3 of the entire large sample pack I bought from there. I was very disappointed.
