I heard LHC is out of blues just fyi

Anyone heard anything on the Aussies??

Last I heard they were ready to ship to LHC, but she's out of town this week.

I too have heard they are out of or nearly out of blues (gee, how do you keep taking money for crabs you don't have?).

The site said the Aussies were due in last week and at least 1 person I have heard of was told they'd get their order (including Aussies) shipped last week before she left for vacation but I haven't heard any more from that particular person on it.

I'm also hearing that despite her telling me on July 7th (to placate me cuz I was asking for a refund?) that she was ready to ship my straws ordered March 15th (she actually said my order was first though I didn't buy it even at the time) that she STILL hasn't even started on March orders & is now saying she is ANOTHER month behind.

I am SO glad I cancelled my order but I really wish more people would; she is able to get away with this because no one stands up to her.

Fact remains that there is no other source for exotics. That's it plain and simple. She has no competition in the market.

Yeah and if no one stood for it she'd be forced to change her ways or stop selling them. If the care of the crabs she ships and the customers she "serves" was paramount she'd have no customers.

If we REALLY sit down & look at it; the responsibility & fault is on us the consumers. If there wasn't a demand for wild-caught exotics she'd have no business. Would I like to have all the species? Of course I would. Do I want them badly enough to put them and myself through what she does? No, not any more. I will just stick with the crabs I have and maybe some day find someone who needs to re-home exotics.

This is bogus since like I said the PPs were allegedly never out of stock but unfortunately you probably have a long wait ahead of you if she hasn't even started March orders

No she is totally out of blues, someone ordered and was waiting for aussies and she said she has no blues at all so if you ordered them I don't think you''ll be getting them, she will probably have you pick something else like my friend has to and she ordered in March...

sunpet or whatever their name is carries several exotics, straws indos for sure. you can't order from them but you can search their site to see if they are a supplier to any stores near you and if they are you can ask that store to order those crabs for you from them. sunpet surprisingly is a supplier to one of my local stores and i live in a small town no ones heard of, so they probably are fairly widespread. They also have something listed as "ghost hermit crab" and it's a coenobita species, and i think it's ruggies because my local store who uses them had ruggies.

i've never gotten a crab from a store they supply to so i don't know the health of their crabs.

I'd definitely cancel, not even worth it with the shipping costs you can get pp's pretty much everyhwere. no excuse for her to not have shipped them immediately.

Thanks, I will look into this. I searched within 40 miles of my zip (I am in a major city too) & it didn't say they supply any store near me but maybe I can see if the store here that sometimes gets straws wants to order through them (they only have XL listed for straws), but.......they only have "Caribbean" and "Ecuadorian" listed and give Coenobita Clypeatus (PPs) as the scientific name for both so.....

I know for a fact that petco does or at least use to get their rodents and birds from sunpet. But I'm not sure if they still do after PETA did an investigation of the place and found some really awful things, I'm not sure a crab (or any animal) would be close to healthy from sunpet.

i took some pics of my crabs and then went through all my old pictures that i already had taken and i do see things that could be mites. I have no idea though, but i got my order in july blues/straws.

this is what i found that may be mites.
I haven't been able to see any in the water though.



do yours look like that?
