Re: NOW OPEN - Wo's Garden - Home-Grown Food & Shells!

Post by wodesorel » Thu Aug 22, 2013 11:50 am

 It really does make me happy to know that everyone and their hermits are enjoying everything so much!

Okra Pods are back in stock.

Sweet Bell Peppers are also in stock. This harvest group is of the dark purple and ivory kind! A whole pepper doesn't take up much space when dried and concentrated, so each bag contains at least 2 entire peppers.

HOLY COW my crabs love the stuff I gave them yesterday, and I haven't even let them taste everything! I used the purple green beans and the shredded coconut along with my home made wet food and nothing is left! I'm very happy with my purchase.

:cloud9:

I highly recommend wodesorel's garden! Everything was fresh, with one exception and SHE told me about it before I even got it. She will be sending me a fresh batch of said item when she gets more of them. Great customer service and communication. I wish all of my shopping transactions were as simple and fun as when I purchased these food items for my crabbies! :)

Thanks, wodesorel!

Just received your package today! Thank you for the extras, too! Most of my crabs are underground right now, so I'm not sure if I should put some out now or wait. The food they have now I notice remains untouched, or the E's that are out nibble on some of it.

But I'm definitely going to be a returning customer regardless! I know they'll love the coconut, especially. I'll add some walnuts to that, like what Alaska Hermit offers. They loved that.

Here's one of my E's enjoying the Crab Cookies. I have 3 E's, but one has been down for a while(hopefully molting like this girl in the picture was a couple weeks ago). My E's are the ones that usually sample the food before everyone else, since they are normally above ground all day.

Thanks again! (:

I just had to share this with you Wode. This is my newest baby, a micro teeny named Prim. I'm not actually sure if its male or female, but I'm calling it a her hahaha She is currently enjoying a mixture of organic chicken baby food, your coconut flower nectar, some of the coral and shell mix that was in your box, and some honey mixed. She had been sitting there daintily eating little scoops of it for about 20 minutes now hahaha She also enjoyed some of your lilac flowers last night  Thank you again so much for selling them, it really is an awesome thing:)

And yes, that is one of the straw flowers from your box behind her, she's that small!!!

Thank you both for the photos! :) Glad to see other's hermits enjoying the goodies!

Still bringing in the harvest here. My only holdup is the dehydrator, and it's been in constant use for 3 weeks straight now.

Bunch of new items have been added, and more will continue to be added for the next couple of weeks. :)

New items for this year:

Image
Sikkim Cucumbers - an earthy cucumber from the Himalayas that has a chocolate brown skin.

Image
Emerald Melon - a sweet orange muskmelon that is a serious hit with hermits.

Image
Chinese Yardlong Bean - and earthy, starchy dark red bean that really does grow to be a yard long.

Image
Rose of Sharon Leaves - they don't just enjoy the flowers!

And old favorites that are freshly picked:

Image
Squash Blossoms

Image
Heirloom Tomatoes

Image
Summer Squash

Also introducing:

Image
Organic Popcorn, also comes Popped for anyone who wants it pre-made. (Wanted to offer some form of crab safe popcorn since it looks like the chipmunks wiped out my own popcorn this year. :( )

Image
Plankton, so now the store now has two protein sources!

Marigolds and Strawflowers are back in stock, and the prices on both the Stripedand thePurple beans has been lowered as well.

And there's still amaranth and sorghum and sunflowers and grasses I'm not sure all what else to bring in! I'll also be doing more of the samplers and box sets once the harvest is over since I think a lot of people enjoyed that. :D

Ran out of cookies today! More are going to be baked this week, and they'll be back in stock with some improvements (but still the same wholesome ingrediants ;) ) by this weekend. :) If you want to place an order now but still want your cookies, let us know in the Special Instruction section at checkout and we'll hold your order until this weekend and send an invoice for the difference when they're ready to go.

We also have only one bag of Burning Bush Leaves left, but more will be ready to go by the 15th. Same thing as above if you'd like to order those as well!

Amaranth is back in stock for fall, and selling fast. We had three varieties for sale this year, but Hopi Red Dye has only one bag left, and the Oechburg is already half-way gone! I wish we would have had a better year with it, but we only had a few flower heads form so unfortunately what we have is all we have left until next fall. There should be plenty of the Hartman's to go around - I hope!

(Yes, it's 'we' when my husband helps with harvesting/creating, and it's 'me' when I do all the work. :P )

Oh goodness I need to get another order in to you. My PPs are quite the leaf and seed eaters they might go on strike if I run out!

Cookies are back!
http://hermitcrabgarden.com/cookies/

Options include 6 count mixed, 1 dozen mixed, 6 count of a single type, and we also have easy check-out options for those who want to order just cookies!

Image

Thanks to the feedback we received, we've made a few changes to our delicious cookies! Each type now has a unique recipe with new ingredients to make them more wholesome. These cookies are high in plant protein, healthy oils, and vitamins and minerals. The quality you're expecting is still the same - we only purchase the best ingredients with organic choices whenever possible, and we mix that with the products we sell to create a tempting treat that hermits can't resist!

Image
Sweet Stars: Got a sweet-claw? These are a perfect desert treat for any hermit crab. Not only will it satisfy their craving for sweet fruits, it is also packed full of healthy nutrition. These cookies contain plenty of protein along with a wide range of essential vitamins and minerals from the dates, coconut nectar and bee pollen.
Ingrediants: Sorghum Flour, Organic Wheat Flour, Organic Coconut Flour, Dried Coconut, Powdered Dates, Organic Coconut Nectar, HCG's Sorghum Seeds, Local Free-Range Eggs, Spring Water, Bee Pollen

Image
Amaranth Hearts: It'll be amore when your hermits taste these cookies! The pink color is entirely from our own home-grown Amaranth flowers, and while it is an undeniably nice touch for a heart shaped cookie it's not the reason why we use it. Amaranth seed is extremely high in plant protein and also has calcium, and it provides many essential vitamins and minerals, especially when combined with coconut. Plus, coconut and amaranth are two of the most popular hermit crabs foods we've ever tried with our own colony, so it made sense to put them together!
Ingredients: Organic Coconut Flour, Organic Wheat Flour, Dried Coconut, Spring Water, HCG's Amaranth 'Hartman's Giant, Local Free-Range Eggs, Organic Coconut Nectar, HCG's Amaranth 'Oeschburg', HCG's Amaranth 'Hopi Red Dye'

Image
Calcium Circles: For when cuttlebone is boring! We've combined buckwheat flour which naturally contains calcium along with coral, oyster shells, mineral sand, and thick free-range egg shells from the local farm to create a powerhouse of exoskeleton goodness that provides the minerals and calcium they need in a cookie they'll crave.
Ingredients: Organic Buckhweat Flour, Organic Coconut Flour, Organic Wheat Flour, Spring Water, Organic Coconut Nectar, Crushed Coral and Oyster Shell, Local Free-Range Eggs with Shells, Mineral Sand

I ship everything via the United States Postal Service. I believe they hand it off to Canada Post once it clears customs. :)

Thanks, if you send USPS it does get delivered by Canada Post which is PERFECT!!!

I just placed an order and now I have a few questions....

Your cookies, are they available all year or only in the fall when you have an abundance of ingredients? Can you leave them in the that or will they mold if not eaten?

I was all excited when I saw you had freeze dried mysis shrimp cause I can't seem to find any around here other than the frozen kind and since I'm allergic to blood worms I try to not feed those as often. I know it's not your fault but I was sad when I found out I couldn't get them delivered here :(

Your "web store" is AMAZING, looks really great, works really great and so easy to navigate!!! :cheer:
