I ordered 3 ruggies and rcvd notice they will be shipped out today, arriving Thursday.

I'm not sure does she normally send out a tracking number? or is it a surprise? I got the impression she gives you a heads up and that's it. Anyone?

@Avery I too prefer males normally (I feel bad for Mamas taken out of the breeding populations in the wild) but admit that of my tanks the exotics' is probably set up the best to try & get eggs, so girls wouldn't be ALL bad

@CrabbyJ yes & yes. viewtopic.php?f=67&t=92530 and in a captive environment the "bad" mites can stress your crabs to the point of death. I have gotten crabs from her once before & gifted some to another person before & neither of mine came with mites, so my claws are crossed

She does often send a tracking number but in my experience it's overnight and not 2 days so you guys may get them sooner than you're expecting (I got one order of crabs before I even got the email with the tracking).

Yes! You will have a tracking number to follow your babes across the states I usually check my tracking numbers, in my OCD manner,... sorry- "worried mama mode!" until they are literally on my street and then I hunt down my mail man, whom I usually find somewhere near my house lol (Im actually not joking)

I went and got last minute things for the temp set up at my work since they will be delivered here. Then I will take them home to the ISO. I warned the mail man today I got priorities coming. This will be funny as I am an agency manager for a respectable insurance agency - and I will have a small tat hiding in the corner of my office. Prepped with heat and humidity, food and water.

Can't say I'm not jealous I heard from her last night and knew she was shipping the exotics but my order still has to wait for my Aussies so it's not relevant to me despite her telling me my order was one of the first (wonder how many others she said that too,hh). She said her exporter "finally" got the permit (lies) and that "it was more complicated than my exporter expected" (bull) but that we are one step closer to getting the Aussies (though she says she still has no date).

@Sach Yes I read that page about the mites but seen nothing like the "bad one's" but Thanks for sharing that page for anyone else that was worried, it is a good read I'm not worried about the mites this time around now that I was informed last year, good to look the crabs over very close to make sure and give them a few soaks just to be safe.

I just hope the mediums aren't jumbo's or I'll have to build that 300gal custom tat like sooner then I thought..lol

I ordered 2 ruggies and 2 indos at the end of May. Haven't heard from her since I ordered (not a surprise), but I suppose my order will ship much later because I ordered so late. I'm excited for all of you expecting crabs this week!

I'm so upset with myself- I pre-made saltwater and freshwater and put it in a container this morning to bring with me with the set up and forgot it on the counter.

Will they will be ok for a couple hours with regular bottled water???

Obviously it isn't ideal to have to get them at work after shipping to begin with so a few hours without salt water probably won't be the worst.

I have to ask since you've been using the word "replacements" in a couple of posts now - how many did you loose from the previous order?

Has anyone ever been to her "establishment?" I'm in New York all the time especially in summer and I could easily drive up there and pick up the crabs my self. I sent her an email about this before she updated her site about the pre sales and never got a reply. I may drive up there anyways and have them shipped in state. I don't like the idea of them being 1 of 100 boxes who knows what could happen

I figured my ISO at work all set up would be fine, obviously better than the box on the front porch

It's about an hour in a half, from the time I will get them to the time I go to lunch. Hopefully they will be fine during that time.
