1$ per gallon sale at petco

Iā€™m thinking about getting a new 55 gallon tank at the 1$ per gallon sale and have 2 questions about it. 1. Is this the cheapest way to get a new tank or are there other ways to get a new tank at and even cheaper price? 2. If I end up buying it what lids should I get, 2 hinged glass lids or 2 screen lids or fluorescent and glass lids? (The tank has a center brace).

If you want a spanking new tank with flawless glass, this is the absolute cheapest way to go! You may be able to find used tanks cheaper if that appeals to you, I've bought 55s in pretty rough shape for as little as $15 before at yard sales. Expect scratches and chips, though.

As far as a lid, that tends to be personal preferance. I like screen lids I can cover over and adjust as needed, but others swear by their glass lids. The florescent lighting is also perfectly good for viewing your hermits but it tends to be expensive. I would not suggest a hinged screen lid as mine have all disintegrated on humid enclosures.

Hi, I was wondering, when does Petco holds their $1 per gallon deal?

Do you know which tanks this is valid for?

No, I just saw someone post in the facebook group that the sale is on now, our local petcos all closed. It used to be up to 55 gallons but in recent years it's been smaller tanks than that. Probably maxes out at either 29 or 40.
