HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I saw strawberry hermit crab adoption on this site here
Wondering if this site is trustable..

I can not imagine that shipping a live hermit crab from China to Canada would be a good idea. It is not an 'adoption', it is for sale, for over $50 (for a sub- adult, whatever that is) or almost $90 (for an adult) Canadian plus shipping.
Personally, I would not recommend it at all.

I did a quick look through their website. On their shipping page it states they ship from Hong Kong, China. All strawberries are collected from that general area of the world and shipped to the US. I'm not sure how different importing them as a broker for retail would differ from a personal purchase. Customs may get involved and hold them up. I would be concerned with any sort of shipping delay with their arrival.

I personally think if they are based in another country there are too many things that could go wrong with shipping.

Oh shoot, didn't know it's based on China... thought it's from USA thanks for the replies!
