HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hey HCA peeps!

As some of you know, I've been working on a store for quite a while now. It ended up being a lot more work than I anticipated. But I have it officially up and running! We tested out the cart and it all works.

I sell mostly individual (one-ingredient) foods that we hand-collected from around Alaska. I also have a bit of locally grown and grocery store foods. The descriptions on each product will tell you where we got it, usually. Selling them individually makes sure you get exactly what you want, and you can even build your own mixes at home if you wish.

I also sell driftwood and used decor. I think we will be slowly adding driftwood as we get measurements and boxes that will fit them. If you're interested in driftwood immediately, send me a message on here, and I can hook you up! I have a lot of sizes and shapes.

OH! And those of you with kids, I made a section where you can print off hermit crab coloring pages! I made them myself! I'll make more eventually, too. Also, if your kids are horse-crazy, mail me for horse coloring pages I have made. I can send you some.

Here are some things to keep in mind if you buy stuff:
-I only accept paypal at this point in time. No exceptions. Sorry.
-I DO NOT ship to other countries, anymore. Sorry. Too risky with all the plant/animal matter. Stop asking.
-Shipping from AK is not much different than shipping from the lower 48. It will arrive in good time, and will cost the same amount as shipping from the lower 48. I will most often use first class or priority depending on the product(s) ordered. You can read the shipping policies for more info.
-If the site overcharges you for shipping on bulky or heavy stuff (the shipping calculator is not perfect, so may happen occasionally), I will give you a partial refund. I can also send you a payment request before you pay so that we don't have to refund you. It's all in the policies...read them.
-Don't hesitate to send reviews and pictures if your crabs like our stuff. I made a page where I display your reviews and pictures.
-Don't hesitate to send colored versions of the hermit crab coloring pages that you or your kids do, too! I want to make a page for that.
-If you have or spot problems, contact me here or via the website. I'm sure it's not 100% perfect.

Oh wow, I need to place an order sometime soon lol! I should get some of that moose poop just to say I got my crabs moose poop to eat. xD

My crabs LOVE everything you sent us, but they go nuts for the duck, thrush, dandilions and roses!! I'm not quite brave enough to try the moose poop yet....I'm working up to it. OH- and the crab shell- they go crazy for that too!

Our paypal is hubby's account, so I let him know when I order stuff. Just sent him the following email: Gemini has been getting into trouble all day. Had to pull her off Moe in the moss pit this morning, then off Flame by the water dish this afternoon. Now she was apparently reading over my shoulder when I pulled up the post about the HCA moderator in Alaska who just opened her store. Looks like Gemini placed an order and paid for it with paypal. Bad crab!

LOL crabbymom33. Awesome. I just finished packing Gemini's order. Onto the next one! Orders galore. Thanks you guys. I hope your crabs like the stuff. It's going to be a little slow at first since not everything is labeled yet (and my husband didn't let me order sticky labels, so I'm cutting and taping them by hand), but I am going to try my best to get them all in the mail by tomorrow morning!

Oh, and there will be a ton more moose poop added to the site this week. I have to dehydrate it, first.

Omg! Omg! Not only do you have poop, you have isopods!!
(I'm gonna need some as soon as you get them.)

I'm going to sound crazy here obviously but our crabs can eat moose poop?????????
