Tuesday 20th December Day 17
What a day! Heaps of shells exploring the air side of life. Stripe got right out of the water and I got great video (TG4) and close ups Nat said his eye stalks are puffy and that means he is starting to morph. Heaps of others crawling around and about 7 up on the ramps. Seems the later ones that went into the black pool are getting out faster than those in the sand pool. Maybe this is good. But it is also further away from heat mat.
Had a streaker right out of the water silly thing. I used the syringe and squirted him back into the pool (black) Also thing that the black may actually trap them below it so next time I will use silicone to fix it so they can’t get underneath.
Got a heat cord and thermostat to keep the tat stable. BUT the cord seems too long so I’ve plugged in the largest heat mat to the thermostat for the time being.
Wednesday 21st December Day 18
0830 Woke up and checked on trans tat saw 2 on the sand right near the black ramp. Watched them for a little while and contacted Nat. Went back and discovered there was a 3rd one. Got the camera and took close ups and video. I can’t believe I am actually likely to be successful this time.
Stripe is still in the pool but only just. The brown shell that’s been sitting on top of the sand ramp for nearly 2 days is still there. Another is pushing out of the water on the black ramp and there is at least one more in there moving around. May end up with 10 possibly.
1000 another check and 2 of the 3 on the sand have vanished but I can’t see where they dug down (if they have. Just hoping all is good.

Hi Gaby, no not yet but this morning there were 3 out on the sand and just now 2 can't be found so hopefully they have dug down to do this. See my big post catch up on the last 2 days.GabyRaven wrote:Have any of the babies completed their final molt?
