How to set up a Megalopa tank?

Post by eldkzmffhs1 » Mon Sep 02, 2024 3:57 am

I use a translator, so the sentence can be weird.

I have some of the megalopas and joea from C.spinosus.

having trouble setting up a Megalopa tank.

I tried all the tanks with sandless / Argonite sand set.

In all settings, the megalofas are not move and most are lying on the floor.

I'm hand-feeding every individual one by one. It takes too long.

anxious if my megalopa breeding setting is wrong.

Is there a way to set up a regular Megalopa tank? If you have a picture for reference, it would be great.

If you have any good ideas, I would appreciate it if you could share them.

Is the water kept warm enough? Is there any water movement or aeration?

I am not an expert in megalopa rearing so I will direct you to some resources.

Hi there! I apologize for just catching this! I have a couple of recommendations for megalopa tanks, but they are better explained on our Zulip chat for Hermit House. Hermit House is a Non Profit Organization geared towards captive bred hermit crab breeding. By becoming a member, you have access to chat support from successful and aspiring breeders worldwide.

I have designed an all in one megalopa transition tank that you can put them into that I have been successful with, but I doubt it will help you out now! I believe I have pictures of it available on my instagram. :)
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com
