Mine are one year old and still too tiny to put into adult tank.
I think variabilis do not grow too fast. I think they should stay in a seperate tank for round about 2 years or more.

Wow, they are soo big right now :3
Current hermits: About 17 PPs and 3 straws (for now)
A 180-ish gallon tank with two 36 gallon extenstions!
What can I say? I love crabs!

They seem to grow faster than mine. The whole development was faster and it seems that they grow faster than my violas.

love to see pics of the little aussies. And it is exiting to watch them grow.
