I'll be away for two weeks (until Aug 20). I'll still try to keep you guys updated. My husband is semi-competent with a macro lens, and I have an extra DSLR here for him to use, so I'm hoping he can take pics.
I think my husband would probably like to do the duct tape. I'm going to have him do a water change by himself today to make sure he can do it, and I'll have him tape the tube.
We definitely figured out the height thing with the bucket. When we were able to stack two salt buckets on a folding chair and then put the water on top, we had a serious baby tornado. I try to aim it into a corner and a little upward to help with that.
I'll give him birthday wishes when he gets home today. He knows who you are. You go by a few names: "my HCA friend who is going to have babies, too" or "my HCA friend who has all the pet bugs" or "my HCA friend who sent the huge bags of leaves", etc.
Tomorrow they will be three weeks old!! They're doing pretty good!

I can't wait to see stage 6!! My goodness! Tiny inky dinky claws. It will be awesome. I just hope they will still be swimmers...? I need to read more. I need to keep cleaning shells, too. I've been giving the shells that are broken or contain dessicated snails to my adult hermies. They are so funny with them. Some will crunch them and eat them, and others will pick them up, and seriously push them away! So strange.
