Despite their canibalistic tendencies, they are totally adorable! I would so love to have little babies someday!

I will post comparison pics when I get a chance so you can all see the size differences.

***** Further News!! I will start a new thread when I get a chance, Larvae deposited in the shell shop 12.30pm today, we watched her deposit them, I suspected she was gravid. I have hand hatched just like the successful time, only a small cluster was deposited at this stage perhaps 50 live zoea, I think we disturbed when we were watching. keeping an eye on her like a hawk from a distance atm. Larvae are in my improvised Kreisels (jar).

My straw deposited a twice the last time as well, maybe 16 hours apart, that's why I didn't catch the second drop very quickly. Good luck!!

It's not just the shells! Their bodies have such a crazy size difference. Shows what we know about putting an age to crabs. You wouldn't be able to get side-by-sides would you?
Ok so I finally saw a little one out at the same time as one of the larger ones so I have done a quick comparison photo shoot :)

Wow! It's amazing that their sizes are so different, even that small. This certainly tells us that size is not always a direct comparison to age.

Are these both from the same batch? I thought you had put the first and second successful broods together, but now I can't remember!!

Wow, they soo different! But still huggable (once you get over the pinches) Hmm, does the pinches even hurt????
I just got a micro girl from the store today (Candii) and she looks the same size as the larger one!
Love the last pic, they look like they doing synchronized swimming! :hlol:
