A friend gave me a moth casing. Seems it was popular. I have video but all the video I post vanishes so not going to bother.

Just goes to prove size isn’t a reliable indicator of age. These two hatched the same day and have been in the same environment all their lives.

Do you sell your babies? I’ve been trying to find captivity raised hermit crabs instead of captured from the wild.

Nope no babies for sale. I doubt you will actually find any world wide either as they are so rare at the moment. All people who have managed to breed value their babies and don't want to part with them. That's how Natalie and I feel anyway. We are the two who have done it with Aussie crabs.

Just discovered I have 5 babies at least. Saw 3 tonight in striped shells. One I haven’t seen for ages. Plus they were all put at once so I’m certain there are at least 3 striped 1 Babylonian and 1 big shell. Yaay that’s great to know.

Further update, still have 6-8 babies going strong. Hard to tell how many coz you never see them all at the same time and some are in shell that are very similar. They are now 19mths old.

The 3 who were out and about today. My thumb above the biggest one to give some idea of size.
