This is going to be profoundly easier due to having fishnet on the walls of the 'tat, I'm probably still going to refer to them how I previously did as far as names and pronouns go, but I feel the need to record this somewhere just so I know. (For potential breeding purposes, I want to learn as much as possible about my babies so I'm looking for gonopores.)

You could create a journal like I did. One crab per page - when they go down, when they come up, how long per molt, shell changes- shell size and preferences, male/female. This gives me an idea for when they'll go down again and how long they'll be down for. It also helps me keep them apart since they all look similar and have similar shells.

I use a 1/2 binder for mine that way when a page gets full I can add another page behind it. (Keeps the profiles together.)
I first started with a composition book and had to skip several pages (other profiles) just to get to page two/blank page. I got tired of trying to figure out what page was where. So I switched for better organization.

Do it on the computer and you can just keep adding to each part of the one file

I like an Excel file, and each creb's comings & goings gets a different tab. I log when I know they've come up, when I can't find them, when they are super active/slow, and if I see them in a shell that I know is new to them.
When I have a decent amount of data, I'll be able to make charts of when they moult & track any patterns that arrise per crab, or individual vs. individual.
I like charts and graphs a lot.
