hermit crab breeding, infertile eggs

mostly if they do breed it is infertile, right? so i could get infertile eggs at some point?

No, not really. Its more that getting them to breed is the easy part. Making sure the crabs place the eggs in the SW pool - not on land or freshwater! - and subsequently, raising the young is the tricky part.

There are very common times when a pair of crabs decide to breed, but the keeper is unable to care for the eggs to raise them to hatch.
