 Babys again!!!
Defently no ruggie this time. Very likely PPs or Indos. About 1000 larvea or more!

Caught larvae:

Double-kreiseltank:

Put about 50-60 larvea in each tank.

Double-bubbling-bottles:

Put the rest of all caught larvae into this two tanks, each about 200-300 larvaes.
In the left are still some algae, for which I normally use this bottles.

Hey, I had some last year. They even changed to megalopa. Unfortunately they died, before they took shells.
But you are right, is was a long time since the last larvae. :?

I advanced the theory, that breeding has something to do with the weather, especially areas of high pressure.
Since December 2012 we had no anticyclone in Germany. Since 2 month it's nearly 'tropical' (mostly over 25°C, very often up to 35°C and higher humidity than normal). Seems to stimulate the crabs. :D

THX @all

@Chelsea716: I was prepared,...but not enough. :roll:

Over 1000 new larvae today in my "sea". :banghead: I need more, bottles, jars, whatever! Image

Most of yesterday larvae still OK, only a few dead.

It seems to be breeding-time for PPs. As far as I remember wolfnipplechips PPs bred mostly in June or July.

I just caught 7 of my 8 PPs and checked for eggs. Guess what? One female has hundred of eggs in her shell. So in the next days the number of larvae might increase astronomical.

edit: Spelling-mistake.

It's amazing how many they drop isn't it?

And I believe the word you were looking for was "checked" as cached means you hid them away somewhere. :)

naalide, have you had success with your female indos getting any eggs? My goal is to successfully breed my Indos but I haven't been able to find anyone that's documented having done so yet. Honestly I'd be thrilled to successfully breed any of my species but the Indos especially.

Sry, too exited to write correctly. After all, my English-teachers fluctuated between pleasable and bad. ;)

And yes! It's sooooo amazing, wonderful, gorgeous,....

My Indos are to shy, to have a look at eggs. But I have one male and six females, therefore everything is possible. :)
