Soil mites EVERYWHERE, HUGE outbreak needs control.
I'm having a huge problem with what I think are soil/moss mites all through the substrate. I need some advice on getting rid of them. It's a 55 gallon with over a foot of substrate so a full change isn't an option. Is there any other way to get rid of them? I know that they aren't a huge deal but they get into the food and eat it all or deter the crabs from it, and there's just SO many, like over a hundred in every cubic inch. I also have a large clean up crew of isopods and springtails that I don't want to harm with whatever I do. Are there other mites I can get somewhere to kill these ones or some other way to get rid of them?

I know this is v late and I hope you've solved the problem. If not have you considered H. miles? Afaik they don't harm the pods or crabs. Springtails they might but from what i know springtails arent's too hard to raise back up? Mesostigmas are similar but those will eat your springtails idk
