what will the chsnces of mites be?

I'm going to be choosing two crabs from our local petco when they receive their next shipment for my classroom. Upon my research ive read some information concerning mites. Am I more likely to have harmful mites from the stores like petco where they order in bulk or is it just luck of the draw regaurdless where they are from?

Mites are all around, everywhere. Even if there aren't mites on the crabs they can still find their way inside your tat. They could also live within the crabs' gills and stay there, undetected. To minimize an up front mite issue just examine the crabs before you bring them home. The pet store can put it in a clear bowl for you and you can look. But bringing home mite free crabs will not gaurantee you won't have mites.
I have only heard of reports of new crab mites from ordered exotic crabs.
