It's that time of year here in east TN where heavy rains moving through drive the little ants indoors.
Is it safe to keep an ant trap nearby the tank so they don't creep inside?? I found only 2 ants crawling near my tank but I DON'T want them crawling inside it!!

If they carry it through your tank that could be dangerous... make sure to take food out each morning (that's what's drawing them in). Try putting Vaseline around the lip of the tank to catch intruders.

I haven't seen them in the tank yet, so fingers crossed. Just want to be sure they don't start!

And I had that thought too about them carrying stuff in should they ever do decide to go inside.

Yes unfortunately those are really the best preventative measures to take :(

Except you can pay someone to come in and make sure your house is completely sealed!

That's what we're looking at!! We have sprayed outside the house ourselves, but sometimes hard to find those places they really like to go in at!!

Vaseline didn't work in my case. I wouldn't use ant baits either. I would find where they are coming in at and spray there.
