Which mites are the ones that get rid of gnats

So I've found a population of fungus gnats living in the crabs terrarium and have found predatory mites called hypoasis mites , are these safe

Yes- they are. But...you need to let whoever you buy them from know what you are using them for. I had an issue with fungus gnats myself in my house bc I replanted my houseplants with organic soil. The H. Miles Mites that I ordered (which need to be shipped overnight due to sensitivity), came shipped in a mixture that would not be safe for the crabitat. I used it for my plants and garden, so it wasn't a big deal, but had I have ordered for my tank it would have been.

they are a specialist terrarium shop however I will explain to them that hermit crabs are incredibly sensitive , thanks
