So far, I haven't had any mysterious deaths and I've been using woodlice for several years now. They are also popular around here with tarantula keepers in particular and with herpers/inverterbate owners in general.

Corvas: a barrier of vaseline around the top of the tank should stop them and is harmless for the crabs.

Thanks Jedediah. I was worried about the crabs getting into that stuff so I just put some in the corners and also changed my tank lid to a flat piece of Plexiglas.
