Isopods

I collected a few isopods and set them up with moist sand, coconut fiber, leaf litter, and hiding spots and I was wondering if there was a way to "sanitize" them in a sense. I may be confusing you all already, but I didn't put them in the crabitat immediately because I don't want them bringing anything from the outside, inside. By sanitize, I mean get them to gradually 'release' things from outside via digestive system. What are the chances of me spreading anything to my crabs from these isopods? There have been no pesticides used in this area for years, and none of the isopods I collected look oddly colored.

You'll have to let them breed a couple generations until they are free from the outdoor pesticides.
Just keep their conditions in check, and let them breed at least twice, then they'll be safe :)

As I told you before that my isopod was pregnant, there are tiny baby isopods in my tank now! :)

Thank you guys I've been watching videos and reading up on people who culture isopods for clean up crews
