I switched from a huge 26 gallon tote, and into these sterlite stacking bins! :)

I have all three bins filled with ee and play sand mixed with calcium carbonate powder. There’s also moss, oak wood branches, cholla wood, and some fish netting.

I also have cuttlebone for them :)

Just an fyi - Isopods can crawl out of that. They crawl to the top of my totes all of the time. You really should use locking lids with them. Also - that is not going to keep the humidity in for them.

Yeah I gave him some dwarf white ones when I gave him the crabs. It didn't feel right to just throw them out. They are a living creature.

I put all of your dwarf whites into my 55, they are doing very well there!
The wood is not taller than the containers, so I don't know how they'd climb out if there's nothing to reach from.
I'll go ahead and get some lids onto these things! :)

Mine climb the plastic tote all of the time. That is why it is recommended to get a locking lid.

Why are you drilling holes? It’s not Necessary. Holes will allow the moisture and isopods or springtails to escape. You can cover the holes up with clear packaging tape or duct tape. (Both sides).

Locking lid is great!
