Hello,
I’ve had a 55 gallon setup for a couple years now. It currently holds 3 medium/large sized crabs (and don’t worry, there is plenty of substrate, hides, food, enrichment, big water bowls, shells, etc)! I was wondering how many hermit crabs could comfortably live in this size tank just in case I ever find ones up for adoption/rehoming near me.
Thanks!
How many hermits in a 55 gallon?

You can probably judge it off of this care sheet. Make sure your crabs are the size you use in the chart.
EDIT: Bingo! Found this: "55g: 2 jumbo OR 6 large OR 12 medium OR 18 small OR 24 teenie" in here: http://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/ ... 51#p836451
