Hi, so I'm very new to this group and have been using it heaps over the past few weeks. I've never owned hermit crabs before but growing up id always wanted some and decided its time. I want to get things correct from the get go so I haven't actually got any crabs just yet as I'm making sure I have everything in order. I live in Australia and I'm finding from reading other forums that finding Salt mixes that are recommended are commonly hard to come by. I saw the brand Red Sea being recommended a few times and after some searching I found a local aquarium store that supplies one of their products. I want to make sure that its actually the right one before purchasing or if it even matters between the two but when I search Red Sea I get two products by them the first one being the one I've found locally 'Coral Pro Salt - Red Sea' and the other only found online. 'Red Sea Salt - Red Sea' I of course would prefer to travel locally as I can get it faster and its more affordable but is the coral pro salt the correct salt or is it the red rea salt that everyone is recommending??
Thanks,
Mads

I don't know what is available near you, and i have read plenty of bad reviews on the Coral Pro Salt - Red Sea.
If possible I recommend getting instant ocean. But i'll let others who live in Australia chime in and tell you what they use.
Proud hermit crab mom. 8 PP's 1 Med, 2 Small, 5 Teeny. 🥰🐚💛

Thank you. I've definitely looked at it as an option that might have to be what I go for depending on what others say. I've found very little locally and everything online is crazy expensive including instant ocean with shipping so just wanted to see what others think first in terms of if the Red Sea salt is good and if its not guess ill just have to go for online.
