My crab is half out of its shell during the day

Hi I’m a new crabby Mom here and I’m worried about Hermie. I have one small crab in a 10 gallon tank. I have about 4.5 inches of substrate, the temp is 82 and humidity is goes between 75 and 85. My son and I rarely see Hermie moving around but the tank has tracks in it and shells were moved around. I added a cholla stick going to a jute net which goes up to a plastic box for a second level. I’m going to put moss in there when it arrives but I put coconut in there for now as a treat. After not seeing Hermie for 2 days (I thought he was molting) I found him today up in the 2nd level box but he’s not in his shell. He is hanging half out. Is this weird? It’s 4pm so he should be sleeping. Can he be sleeping like this? What are the reasons for him hanging out like this?
