Plastic smell
Hey! So i bought some fake plants and there was a strong plastic smell and I didn’t want it in my tank smelling like that so i ran it under warm water and let it sit a day and its still really strong, is there any tips y’all got?? Also is it bad for them because I haven’t put them in there in case the smell is bad for them. Pls help xoxo

I would suggest buying real plants hermit crabs love real plants and I honestly don't think there's a way to get rid of the smell from the moisture in there with the fake plants.... real plants is the way to goRaegyn_Kk wrote:Hey! Live plants don't do well in crab tanks. Crabs dig them up or eat them and many don't like the humid salty conditions. Fake plants are certainly better.
Crazy crab lady with 1 male raised in captivity who is now 7 yrs old (Dec 23) and a 2 females I've added from rehoming or adoptions to add to my breeding colony.
