That's good it's wrapped up. If the crab is tucked tightly in its shell, its alive. If it is limp and falls out of its shell it has passed.

Should I bury it again or just leave it on top of the sand?

Never rebury a crab. You cannot recreate the tunnels and holes with air pockets like they can. I would keep handling to a minimum to keep them from stressing. Once you fix the sand, just pop them back in on top and let them do their thing.

One of my crabs flipped over the crab I thought was dead but he’s is still in his shell. The reason I think it’s dead is because it’s lost all color and looks fuzzy almost moldy. Any suggestions I do not wanna bury him outside if he’s alive but I’m scared he could get my other crabs sick.

You have to use an image sharing site, or download the Tapatalk app. The app lets you easily upload pics with your post.

Usually a dead crab will fall out of the shell. This looks like she may be blocking the entrance with her legs/claw. The mold could be on trapped food stuck in there. Is she tight in her shell? Or falling out? I'm sorry I don't remember what you said, does she smell at all?

There's not always a smell, but if she's loose and not hanging on, she probably has passed away. I'm sorry. If I suspect one of my crabs has passed, I iso them in a small container in the main crabitat, and let them sit for 24 hours. It just makes me feel more confident that they have passed if I can monitor them for a day in one spot.
