Hello! I have recently came up with a fun idea for a second level! My idea was to take the mats that people put on the bottom of their lizard tanks and use that as a second level (I found one made out of coconut fiber on chewy). My plan is to attach the coconut fiber mat to the side of the tank with suction cups (I found some suction cups on Amazon that had good reviews from people with high humidity tanks) and use 6in cholla wood (Also on chewy) to make a ramp for my crabs to get up there. Do you have any concerns and also what should I put up there? I heard people put shells on a second level, but I’m afraid they will fall and break. Thank you so much!

Sorry if the links don’t work I’m new here. Just copy the url into your search bar. Thanks! (Except for the /url thingy in the brackets).

Re: Hermit Crab 2nd Level Idea
I use the mats as climbing walls to get to second level but using as the second level sounds really cool!
And I almost always put my shells on a second level to keep them off the sand and I've never had any fall and break.
You can also put moss or foraging stuff on them.

I have had it in there and my crabs love climbing upside down on the mesh lid. It is fun to watch!
