Reptiles and hermit crabs in the same room and humidity

Post by Salemk555 » Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:45 pm

Hello! My name is Salem, and I currently have two hermit crabs, Sophie, and Howl, in a large tank on top my dresser in one side of my room. I also want to adopt a reptile and am considering getting a green anole, but would be putting it in a separate tank on another side of my bedroom, but was wondering if that would affect the humidity in my tank any with heat lamps and all. I currently have my lid Saran wrapped, but want to go to a pet store soon and get a glass top to make sure it is properly sealed. I also have bubblers in the water bowls. If anyone has reptiles and hermit crabs in the same room, let me know what you think!

Honestly, even if the tanks are next to eachother, as long as the lamps aren't directly near the crab tank, you'll probably notice a small difference, if any at all.

In saying that, every situation is different, but based on my previous experience of using heat lamps, they do run warm, but have a very little 'zone' of activity.
