What plastic is safe for hermits

Post by EternalTurtle » Mon Oct 28, 2024 1:42 pm

I bought a 3d-printed climber for my crabs. It says it’s made of PLA. Some people have said that it’s safe, and some said it’s dangerous. I want to check before I put it in my tank.

I think PLA is safe.
I love my two cool crabs Zote and Fizban.
And my cats Echo and Smudge.

I haven’t seen a lot of crabbers use PLA because it’s biodegradable. Granted plastic doesn’t degrade well in the best of situations but PLA is avoided by aquarists since it can leech into the water
