Cleaning products around tank?

Post by happyhermies33 » Mon Dec 02, 2024 3:58 pm

My tank is in my living room which is across from my kitchen and dining room, and i was about to mop my floor with a cleaner but then stopped because i’m not sure if that’s safe around the tank. does anyone know if that’s safe or i should use vinegar that’s really diluted? also when I’m using cleaning products, should I unplug my bubbler for my pools so it doesn’t pump the air with the cleaner smell in the water? thank you!:)

You can use vinegar around to clean around the tank. :)
I am not sure about the bubbler.
I love my two cool crabs Zote and Fizban.
And my cats Echo and Smudge.

This is one of those things that people have probably done a number of times without thinking about it and no harms have happened LOL. Depending on what your cleaner is, unplugging the bubbler may not be a bad idea. If your tank doesn't have a lot of ventilation, very few fumes will likely get it. Vinegar is totally safe, even full strenth, to use both outside and inside the tank.
