HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hey yall, so I've been trying to figure out what size category my crabs would fit into. Based off some other pictures I've seen, they seem pretty small. But I'm not sure, and I'm trying to find the right shells for them to choose from. So 2 questions... can y'all tell me about what size my babies are? And where do y'all get shells? My local pet smart and petco both have almost NO shells, they're all super small. I've ordered from Amazon before and the ones I bought they moved into but without knowing for sure what size they fit into I'm not sure what size to order. Anyway, thanks yall!

From the way they look I would say they are a large and a medium. They're not super small but they haven't bulked up yet either!

As far as shell size, you'd need to measure the opening they are in now. I would think if you are ordering turbos that the smaller one would probably be in shells around 3/4 inch to 1 inch and the larger one in 1 inch to 1 & 1/8 inch. I might be way off, it can be hard to guess from pics!

There are several shell stores that cater to hermit crab owners. Richard's Seashell, Naples Seashell, Hermit Crab Patch, Mygann on Ebay. I have not ordered from these places myself but I know a lot of people who have!
