Maintaining Humidity

Hi, I’m having trouble maintaining humidity in my crabatat. Living in Arizona, the air is really dry so humidity is rare. I have been using a fine mist spray bottle to mist the terrarium every once in a while to keep it up but now that we are moving into dryer seasons, the misting isn’t quite enough. Simply over night the humidity will drop by 30% and I feel like constantly misting the aquarium will cause pooling of water at the bottom or even flooding. As always any suggestions help. Thank you!

What type of top is on your crabitat? I found that screen tops with plastic wrap are not quite as efficient as a glass top for holding in humidity.
Be sure your substrate is also mixed properly to sandcastle consistency.
Another good option is a moss pit, (shower caddy) with filled with moistened sphagnum moss. Crabs will hide in it and munch on it too. As it dries you can just rewet it over and over.
Another solution is adding bubblers to your water pools. You need to watch the power because the over spray over time can lead to a flood.
Another fix is Bundy's DIY Humidifier. It is similar to the above mentioned bubblers.
