Faux Plants

Just did a large upgrade to my tank. Used a few fake plants, all totally plastic. Is there anything I should be worried about? Should I sanitize them? Or is that even necessary? They of course give off a bit of a plastic-y smell all together, is that alright?

They'll be okay, I've used them for a decade now. I wash with dish soap and rinse really well to remove any releasing agents that may still be on them from the molding process. The smell will take quite a while to dissipate! Keeping them off of any heating source can help with the odour as well.
