Hi there!
I've been searching for some pet hermit crabs I may get in the future after I get my tank and set it up. On Petsmart.ca, they sell two types of hermit crabs:
"Hermit Crabs"
and
"Fancy Hermit Crabs"
Is anyone familiar with the breeds of the hermit crabs as the website does not state what breed they are. If you know or have any idea or if you know how to find out, that would be greatly appreciated!

Fancy hermit crabs are just crabs in painted shells.

Fancy hermit crabs are just larger hermit crabs. The worker said apparently they’re different types so the fancy ones they are bigger and they will grow bigger than the regular, I said oh they must be older they said no we get them all at six months old just the fancy ones get bigger. First of all they’re all wild caught so they cannot know if there’s six months old and the fancy hermit crab thing is fake they’re just old hermit crabs. I got two fancy hermit crabs they’re quite big, at first I thought one of them was a strawberry but turns out it was just fresh from a molt probably from the wild. I have never seen anything other than a purple pincher there
